Perusahaan memerlukan suatu aplikasi yang dapat meramalkan penjualan sepeda motor pada periode ke depan, agar permasalahan tersebut dapat teratasi. Aplikasi dibuat dengan menggunakan metode ARIMA (Autoregressive-Integrated-Moving Average). Hasil dari aplikasi ini berupa informasi mengenai jumlah penjualan yang mungkin terjadi pada periode berikutnya.     Implementation of mobile rack warehouse is commonly used in manufacturing industry because it can minimize the warehouse area used. Applying picking orders in taking of Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) on mobile rack warehouses could give fast loading order. This research aims to find out which algorithm is better in applying picking order sequence in mobile rack warehouse. The algorithms used are Simulated Annealing (SA) and Harmony Search (HS) algorithm. Both of these algorithms will be compared in terms of the gap with the shortest path method and CPU time. The result shows that the HS algorithm produces a better solution than the SA algorithm with lower CPU time, but the convergence rate of HS is lower than that of SA.HS was able to produce a better solution than the shortest path method of nine cases, while SA only eight cases from fifteen cases

    In this study, we applied the market basket analysis to design facility layout of an amusement arcade in Surabaya. The problem faces by the amusement arcade is customers only play in certain games that causes many game machines to be idle. This problem will be difficult to resolve because of revenue pattern has not been acknowledged. Therefore, market basket analysis is applied to know the customer behavior in playing the games. As the result we proposed two layouts. First proposal layout will be designed based on game type. This layout will classify game machines based on market basket analysis results in each category where each category is independent of other category. The independent assumption in the first layout is released in the second layout proposal. In the second layout proposal each game category is dependent of other category. As the result, the second proposal is more likely to be applied, since this arrangement does not cost any money and does not require specific material handlin

    PT.X is a multinational company in Indonesia which is engaged in the consumer goods. This research was conducted in one of department that support the process in PT. X that is direct material (DIM) Procurement department. One of DIM Procurement’s role is to manage vendor’s document and data profile. The data is used by DIM user for purchase order process, payment process and other various process in PT. X. DIM Procurement expects a more efficient and effective work system, so DIM can manage every process and also to better serve DIM user. The problem identification results show there are four main problems that occurred in the process of vendor profile data management. The main problems such as vendor data review process is not running effectively, the process of delivering information is not effective, the long processing time of update profile data, and the process is not transparent. Root causes analysis is conducted using five whys analysis method and the results show there are 19 root causes that occurred in the process of vendor profile data management. Digitalization is the overall solution that can fix the process of managing vendor profile data. Digitalization will change the initial process of delivering information from using e- mail, now using an online portal system called DIM Vendor Profile Management. DIM Vendor Profile Management system will connect each parties who involved in the process and improve the process to becoming more effective, efficient, and transparent.     Statistical Learning for Predicting Dengue Fever Rate in Surabaya

    Dengue fever happening most in tropical countries and considered as the fastest spreading mosquito-borne disease which is endemic and estimated to have 96 million cases annually. It is transmitted by Aedes mosquito which infected with a dengue virus. Therefore, predicting the dengue fever rate as become the subject of researches in many tropical countries. Some of them use statistical and machine learning approach to predict the rate of the disease so that the government can prevent that incident. In this study, we explore many models in the statistical learning approaches for predicting the dengue fever rate. We applied several methods in the predictive statistics such as regression, spatial regression, geographically weighted regression and robust geographically weighted regression to predict the dengue fever rate in Surabaya. We then analyse the results, compare them based on the mean square error. Those four models are chosen, to show the global estimator�s approaches, e.g. regression, and the local ones, e.g. geographically weighted regression. The model with the minimum mean square error is regarded as the most suitable model in the statistical learning area for solving the problem. Here, we look at the estimates of the dengue fever rate in the year 2012, to 2017, area, poverty percen-tage, precipitation, number of rainy days for predicting the dengue fever outbreak in the year 2018.     A Simulation-based Optimization Approached to Design a Proposed Warehouse Layout on Bicycle Industry

    The finished goods must be stored in a warehouse before the items are dispatched. Due to the increasing demand in 2020, there will be an increase in the quantity of items, which will cause the finished goods warehouse at PT X to reach capacity. This issue lengthens the flow through the warehouse and makes it easier for the items to sustain damage. To improve capacity, the firm is building a new finished goods warehouse, and it wants to organize the two warehouses so that the displacement time is as short as possible. This study utilized simulations to calculate the time and dedicated and class-based storage strategies to establish the layout. This study utilized simulations to determine the time and dedicated and class-based storage approaches to establish the layout. According to the findings, the dedicated storage technique has a total displacement distance of 703,952 meters and an average moving duration of 3.37 minutes per pallet. These findings are not as useful as the class-based storage technique, which has 705,961 meters and an average pallet turn time of 3.53 minutes

This research tries to create an interactive broadcasting museum information by utilizing applications on smartphones, indoor positioning systems, and bluetooth low energy beacons to provide information to museum visitors about artifacts around museum visitor location. Banyak penelitian yang telah dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan di atas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan keseimbangan lintasan straight line dan tipe U-line menggunakan model mixed integer programming pada suatu perakitan pompa air. Model mixed integer programming diselesaikan dengan menggunakan LINGO. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tipe U-line memberikan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan straight line berdasarkan jumlah work station dan lebih efisien secara signifikan

    Dengue Fever is one of the viral diseases of the tropics that are easily spread in high density and humid area such as in Surabaya. Many researchers in various expertise have studied this disease. Some of them use statistical and machine learning approach to predict the outbreak of the disease, so that the government can prevent that incident. In this paper we use the geographically weighted regression for predicting the dengue fever outbreak in Surabaya. The geographically weighted regression has superiority in estimating the coefficient of the explanatory variables locally. So that, we can put more attention into the region with has high estimates coefficient parameters. Here, we look at the locally estimates of the dengue fever infected in the year 2016, 2017, population density and poverty percentage for predicting the dengue fever outbreak in the year 2018.     Blood Bag Request Tracking Application: a Case Study of PMI Surabaya

    Blood is an important thing in the human body, if lack of blood can be fatal and even cause death. If a person lacks blood, it can be helped by doing a blood transfusion from someone else. The government and the Red Cross conducted a blood donation process to meet this need. Hospitals and people who need blood bags can submit a request to the Red Cross. The submission of this request is done by filling out a paper form or by telephone, there is still no application that supports submitting an online request. This is very necessary considering the speed of service to requests for blood bags is very necessary, considering this is related to a persons life. This study tries to develop a prototype application that provides an online blood bag request service so that the blood bag requester can monitor whether the request is accepted, rejected (not available), or is in the process of being sent, and so on. From testing on potential users, a total score of 3.60 was obtained (from a maximum value of 4). So it can be concluded that this application prototype is needed to be developed on the existing problems
